Daniel is a worship leader, writer, and coach in the Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania area, where he ministers to college students and local churches. His work focuses on collaborating with a diversity of traditions and cultures to serve both the faithful and the skeptic by inviting them to participate with the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, in worship.
Daniel writes and records original songs for worship and released his second full-length album, Forever Amen, in September 2023. His songs focus on setting Scripture to singable melodies without compromising artistic creativity. Speak Peace (2020) highlighted themes of unity and rest, and Forever Amen (2023) relies on timeless Christian prayers, such as the Gloria Patri, Maranatha, and the Lord’s Prayer.
Daniel teaches worship theology and songwriting at Grove City College through the Christian Ministries department and trains students for practical worship ministry through the weekly chapel program. He completed his graduate degree at the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies, where he focused on developing worship resources that enrich participation with God through the means of grace and liberate neo Puritan worship from the fixation on experiential self-examination. He is passionate about artists seeking the common good through the hands of the local church by embracing worship in community for the mind, body, and spirit. As a leader, his goal is to help form and direct both the beliefs and expressions of others to the glory of God.
Pittsburgh native, Daniel is a Pennsylvania rust-belt enthusiast who takes any and every opportunity to celebrate the cultural legacy of the City of Bridges. He and his family live in Highland Park, where they spend their time renovating a 120+ year old house and playing with their children. Daniel has also spent time as a recording engineer for the Apsen Music Festival and School, Pittsburgh Digital recording company, Audible Images studio, and the Pittsburgh Opera.
